We are looking for a Head Chef to run the day to day operation of the Salty Dog Kitchen. Reporting to the Executive Chef, who is cooking day to day at The Boat House, this position is seen as key in maintaining The Salty Dog's reputation for family friendly fine dining in a casual atmosphere.
Whether it is a burger or a 30 day dry aged fillet steak … fish and chips or turbot … a sandwich or a full 7 course tasting menu … we expect the same care and attention to go into every dish. We need somebody who understands our great local produce and has a passion for preparing it fresh from scratch. The successful head chef must have a passion for the industry and bringing on new chefs and encouraging talent wherever it is found.
The Bar at The Salty Dog is at the heart of the operation. open from 7.00am-1.00am most days every guest passes through it at some point. From coffees and teas, to bar snacks and full meals they are all served in the bar area.
The bar is famous for our cocktails, Northern Irish craft beers and wines by the glass as well as our cocktail and beer events. We are looking for someone who can help drive the standards as well as the business into the bar.
